Output Name

In OS 9 Output names are initially titled “Modem 1-16” and “Printer 1-16”. When using OMS or Apple's MIDI System Services (MSS), Output names can be derived from all output device channels defined in the Current Studio Setup document. To automatically create Metro Outputs from your Current OMS or MSS Studio Setup, choose the Make outputs reflect current MIDI setup document button under Metro’s Modify Outputs and Busses dialog under the Special menu, and click OK.

note02.gif Note: This feature will not work properly unless an OMS Studio Setup has first been saved and then made current or a MSS document exists.

Double-clicking an Output at the bottom of the Instruments Mixers window, or Option-clicking on an Output Name in the Tracks or Graphic Editor windows, opens the Define Outputs dialog box, which allows you to name Outputs and to set various parameters.
