VST/Paths Preferences
(Windows Only)
This dialog allows you to set the path where VST plug-ins are searched for.

In addition to the user-configurable path, Metro automatically searches the following path:
on 32 bit operating systems or when running the 64 bit version of Metro:
"X:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\"

on 64 bit operating systems when running the 32 bit version of Metro:
"X:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\Vstplugins\"

where X: is the drive that Metro was started from, usually C:.

After startup all available plug-ins can be found in the plug-ins window.

Alternate audio file search path

This setting allows you to specify an alternate search path. When a document is opened that references audio files that cannot be found, this path will be searched for the missing audio files.
