Export As Movie is only available if you have a movie opened in the current section. Choose Export As Movie when you want to save the audio and MIDI within your Metro session as part of the QuickTime Movie. Only the currently selected movie, as displayed in the movie window, will be saved with the audio and MIDI. Use this dialog to save and name your new movie to disk. Three options are available for saving movies. Use Quicktime Movie Export This option opens QuickTime's export dialog with save as movie type options available. See QuickTime file types for more info on the types of files QuickTime supports. If you have trouble using this option in Metro 6 please try the 'Use QuickTime File Export' option. Use QuickTime File Export The same as Movie Export except all QuickTime file options are available. One use of this would be if you wanted to export still images. Self-Contained (or with alternate audio file) This option exports the current movie as a self-contained Movie (no external links) and also provides an option for selecting an alternate audio file to include as the sound track. This allows you to select, for example, an MP3 file for the soundtrack of the movie. Save Self-Contained interleaves audio and video data within a single QuickTime Movie file. After selecting one of the above options Metro will mix all audio tracks based on the settings from the last time Metro mixed audio tracks since it was started up. The default is 44.1k, 16 bit. When the audio is mixed then, if necessary, the QuickTime export dialog is presented. See Also: Import Movie Close Movie |
