Saving Faders and Output Setups All Outputs and settings in the Instruments Mixer window are saved as your Output Setup. Output Setups can be saved in two places: in Metro’s Preferences dialogs (File menu) and within a Metro document file. Output Setups that are saved in any of the Preferences settings will open as your default configuration when you launch Metro. You can save Outputs within Preferences by clicking Save in any of the Preferences dialog box panes when the Outputs in Metro’s Instrument Mixer window are how you want them. Output Setups that are saved with a Metro document file override any Output Setups saved in Preferences. Metro automatically saves Output Setups with Metro documents when you save a file. This means if you save your Metro document file and your Output Setup is different from the Setup contained in the Preferences setting, when you next open that document, the correct Output Setup for that particular Metro document file will open. Your default Output Setup in the Preferences settings will remain intact and will appear when you launch Metro and create aNew document file. If you want to alter the Output Setup in the Preferences file you would need to save Preferences again with an Output configuration different from the one already saved in the Preferences file.
