The Notation Toolbar The buttons in the toolbar let the user select, add, manipulate, and deletedata. To select a tool, click it. The button highlights to show that it is active. Then click in the score to perform the action associated with that tool. Certain tools have more than one option (Notes, Dynamics, Text, Expressions,Bar lines, and Transcription Quantize). To select a particular option, pressand hold that tool’s button. A pop-up palette lets you choose the option you want. When youhave highlighted the option you want, release the mouse button. To de-select a tool, click another tool. The Notation window opens with the last selected tool active, and all toolsdisplaying the most recently selected option.
