Pattern numbers represent indexes to notes, which are derived by holding downsustained chords on your MIDI controller. For example, a 4 Step Pattern of 1, 3, 3, 2would play a pattern of C-G-G-E when playing a C major chord.

  1. Set a one bar count off (Setup > Record/Play).

  2. Start Play or Record.

  3. Hold down a chord on your controller.

Metro arpeggiates the chord according to the pattern you set.
