Combine Regions
Metro makes drag-and-drop editing even easier by enabling you to combine audioregions. For example, if you have two drum samples, say a snare drum and akick drum, from different sources, you can place them next to each other in atrack, combine them into one audio region, and then copy and drag them as a singleunit.

Note: Make it easier on your CPU by mixing down multiple tracks to a singletrack and combining separate audio regions within a track into a larger audioregion.

To combine audio regions:

In the Switches menu, make sure Show Audio Regions is checked and Audio RegionEditing is not checked.

In the Graphic Editor window, copy the audio clips that you want to be connected into the exact rhythmic relationship that you want them to be in.

Select the length of audio that you want to drag as a unit.
From the Edit menu, choose Audio > Combine Regions.

The Progress window appears.

Metro makes one audio region from the clips you chose.

In the Switches menu, choose Audio Region Editing.

Now you can drag and paste your new audio region as a single unit.
