Export MIDI File You can export files, saving them in Standard MIDI File format so that otherapplications can read them. Hint: You can import and export both type 0 and type 1 MIDI Files. Remember that type 0 MIDI files contain all MIDI track data merged onto a single track, so you will generally be better served by using type 1 MIDI files. You can also import Type 2 MIDI Files; however, its not possible to export Type 2 MIDI files. Important: If there are SubSections in a Metro file that you want to export to a MIDI file, be sure to use the Expand by SubSection function (Edit menu) before exporting. Expand by SubSection creates multiple tracks of linear data comprising all of the data (excluding loops) from the original SubSections. If there are loops in a Section you want to export, be sure to use Expand by Loops (Edit menu); loops are not supported in Type 0 and Type 1 MIDI files. For detailed information on each of these commands, see the Edit Menu. See Also:Saving in Standard MIDI Format Importing MIDI files |
