Importing MIDI files

Metro labels Standard MIDI Files with the word 'MIDI' preceding the filename. To create a Standard MIDI File, open a Metro document that contains only MIDI data, and choose Export MIDI File from the File menu.

To import a Standard MIDI File:

  1. Open an empty section in a Metro doc by clicking its number in the Sectionwindow.

  2. Select File > Import MIDI File...

The Import MIDI File dialog box appears showing all available Standard MIDIFiles. If you do not see any MIDI files, select the directory you want and chooseAll Readable Documents from the Show drop-down list.

  1. Click the file you want to import and click Open.
