"Corrupt/bad format..."

Postby Sami23 » Mon Mar 10, 2003 7:53 pm

Ok... I have a Metro file that is nothing but .aif files. It is a piece that I have been working on awhile and have progressivly mixed it down from the Midi to all audio files. I have been working with Metro 6.0.5 and did my last work a few days ago on the Metro file.

Now... when I go to open it I receive the error message:

"-208 Corrupt/bad format or not of type AIF"

Of course it's not a .aif... it's a Metro document. I click "OK" and Metro opens with zero tracks.

Using an early version of Metro (6.0.4 -> 6.0) to open the file doesn't work either... I get a message telling me that the file type is "too new or not supported".

So... any ideas how to open this Metro doc? It has 15 aif tracks waiting for the "final" mix down and I'd hate to loose the work I've already done...

;)

This is a problem that is resolved in 6.05i4. Note that is very unlikely to occur.

We are still recommending people to update. Anyone who comes across this problem and finds they have a file corruption issue should contact us immediately. We can fix the file.
