Soundsoap

Postby sreeves » Tue Mar 11, 2003 9:35 am

As per your suggestions Jerm, I just purchased BIAS SoundSoap as plug-in to remove hiss and rumble from audio. This software works fine in Metro and does an excellent job--actually there is a handy feature that allows you to hear just the sound being removed and then to adjust how much of that is removed from the audio. Sure this is a very simple question but to apply the plug-in do I need to let the 60 minutes-plus audio file play through in real-time with the plug-in on or can I apply the plug-in setting to the whole file (is this a batch file process?)?

Thanks,

Steve

This topic should be moved to the effects section!

Steve,

These are your options:

You can select the entire audio region you want affected and then go the audio-plug-in sub menu of the edit menu and apply the sound-soap plug-in to the selection. I think that would be the easiest way. Or

Apply the plug-in as a real-time plug-in by dragging it to the effects window and then use the Mix Audio Tracks function to produce the desired file.
