Region list

Hi,
Does Metro place the regions you create on a region list so that you can have access to all the regions within an audio file?
Thanks
Juan

Juan,

That is a good question.

The answer is not really. The regions are in a list internal to Metro and could possibly be exposed (feature request?). The red rectangles respresent the active regions as seen in the graphic editor.

What exactly would you like to do? The Jukebox makes for a great librarian of audio files.

You do have access to all of the audio files. You can expand a region, constrict a region, etc. Double click on the region to enter the region edit dialog.

Hi and thanks for your reply,
I've got a big audio file which I have recorded from an audio tape. I'd like to divide it in regions and give a different name to each of them. Then I'd like to be able to locate an individual region when I need to play it.
It's a guitar riff collection audio file so it'd be very useful for me to play the different riffs I practise in a session, which don't necessarily come in the same order as they are in the file. So I'd need to be able to locate them easily in order to play them back.
Do you think I could get to do that without a region list?
Thanks,
Juan

You could put the regions on separate tracks and then export them individually into a new folder. Once there you could use the jukebox to view and listen to individual clips.
