MIDI System Services (MSS) Part of the OS X system software that links MIDI programs with MIDI hardware. Sometimes referred to CoreMIDI, MSS controls the timing of MIDI events and provides a Studio Setup Document that all MSS-compatible applications can reference. The document is editable in OS 10.2 or later using a program called Audio MIDI Setup (AMS) located in the utilities folder.
