Clock Sync

Syncing to MIDI Clock is common when dumping MIDI data from drum machines oroutboard sequencers into Metro.

To sync Metro to incoming MIDI clocks:

  1. Choose Clock Sync from the Sync setting pop-up menu in the Transport window.

  2. Choose MIDI Setup from the Setup menu and select the Receive Sync button for the port connected to the master timing device.

OMS/MSS users should verify METRO’s Receive Sync From setting selected under MIDI Setup (Setup menu). “MIDI Clock capable MIDI devices” must be specified within the Current Studio Setup document.

  1. Click Record (or Play) in Metro’s Transport; Metro will remain in a pause mode until it receives MIDI Clockdata from the master syncing device, at which time it will begin recording (orplaying).
