Selecting individual notation symbols To select a symbol (notes, rests, expressions, text, and lyrics), click itusing the selection tool. Positioning the cursor over a symbol changes it to thedrag/select cursor. Selected notes and rests display as outlines. Other selections display either as outlines or by acquiring positionindicators.
