Adding Offline Effects Being able to apply Effects offline is a useful tool, especially if you wantto save processor power during playback. To demonstrate how this works, let’s apply the Preset you just created to an audio track: Select the track (or the region of a track) to which you would like to add theeffect and choose Audio from the Edit menu. Click the Delay Plug-in from the list. When the Plug-in’s window appears, you will notice that it looks a little different from theway it looks when used in real time. Choose your preset from the Presets popup window. You can click OK to goahead and apply it or click Preview to test it out first. There are a number of edits you can apply to your audio tracks other thanadding Effects: you can change pan and volume as you would on a mixer (and automate those changes in real time) from the Instruments Mixer window, and you will find other editing options in the Edit Menu under Audio. Try selecting a section of your audio track and reversing it. Try a fade out or fade in.
