Selection Filter The Selection Filter allows you to specify criteria determining which notes will be selected foredit operations. You can set particular duration and velocity ranges and any notes within your selection that fall within those ranges willbe affected. You can also specify particular types of rhythm patterns that youwant to be affected by edit operations by designating a 1 bar example pattern,which you may take from any existing track by selecting the rhythmic data. If you want Metro to ignore the criteria set in the Selection Filter, you canturn off the Selection Filter by unchecking the Selection Filter option from the Switches menu; to have Metro use the Selection Filter criteria again, choose Selection Filter (so that a checkmark appears) from under the Switches menu (type Command-f to toggle the Selection Filter off and on). The Selection Filter has two dialog boxes, one in which you Assign all types (duration, velocity, rhythm, random) of selection criteria, and theother in which you Edit the assigned values.
