Zero Crossing

When you edit audio data, choosing Zero Crossing allows for making theselection start and end points move to the audio data’s zero crossing point. Selecting data at zero crossings helps to eliminateclicks and pops at the beginning and end of the selection.

The settings range from loose to tight:

Loose means that any sample that crosses zero will be selected regardless of thevalues on either side of the crossing.

Tight
means that the audio sample must be within 1 of zero at the cross point (e.g.-1, 0 or 1).
