Show Audio Regions

Audio Region Editing is a great convenience when you edit audio data. Metroselects discrete chunks of audio data that have sound gaps between them andlabels them as audio regions. When audio region editing is enabled (Switches menu),you can quickly drag and drop pieces of audio without having to select thefront and back boundaries. You also don’t have to worry about chopping a sample into pieces.

To display audio regions:

  1. In the Graphic Editor window, display an audio track you want to edit.

  2. In the Switches menu, make sure Show Audio Regions is checked.

Notice that your audio clip in the Graphic Editor window now has a red squareon the right end at the bottom of the window. This shows where your audioregion ends. If your audio has sound gaps in it, Metro creates multiple audioregions at convenient editing points.
