LinksThe Links dialog shows all audio file references that are part of the Metro session. Storage path, sample rate, bit depth, file size and other file informationfor the selected audio file are displayed at the bottom of the Links dialog. Click the Change button to open linked audio files that cannot be found by the Metroapplication, use the dialog to locate the missing audio file from any mounted volume. Click OK to save changes, or Cancel to revert to the previous settings.Changing file references so that the new file is shorter than the old file maycreate errors when you try to play back.All audio edit operations in Metro are nondestructive in nature, in otherwords, a new audio file is created instead of processing the original file. Metro’s built-in file management features track the use of audio files generated bynon-real time edit operations, such as Normalize and non real-time AudioPlug-ins (including AudioUnits, VST and Adobe Premiere compatibleformats). Audio files created in Metro originating from edits or file conversion areautomatically deleted if they are no longer used within the Metro session andnever saved. Imported audo files are protected from auto-deletion, these filesare denoted by a Lock icon displayed to the left of their file name. Saving a Metro file locks allreferenced audio files (imported and recorded) protecting them fromauto-deletion. See Also:Importing an Audio File |
