Viewing Track Levels in the Track Window Track Levels show real-time velocity and volume (controller 7) information for MIDI tracksand amplitude level for Audio tracks. Color and size of the Levels display can be adjusted within the Tracks window. Click on a Level display to change the color scheme. To change Level display size, position the mouse at the right border of the Level display, then drag the edge to resize it. When recording Audio tracks, use the Levels display as a VU reference for the input signal (configured in the Digital Audio dialog). Take care to not clip the input, which can result in unwanteddigital distortion. You may wish to resize the Levels display in order to better optimize Metro for setting audio levels. VU meters will not reflect the expression controller level (controller 11) which also controlsvolume on some MIDI instruments. See Also: Changing Audio Volume Adjusting Note Velocity
