Are those plug-ins universal binaries?

For a plug-in to show up on an Intel-based-Macintosh computer it must be native. In other words, it has to built explicitly for an Intel based computer. Universal Binaries (UB) are programs or plug-ins that have been compiled for both Powerpc's and Intel based Macintoshes. Metro is a UB. If you run the G3 version of Metro, which is PowerPC only, you will see all of the powerpc plug-ins available but you will not be running natively. You will be running under Rosetta, and thus it is not recommended.
