Vocal Harmonizer

Postby jukehouse » Thu Dec 23, 2004 2:24 pm

I'm looking for a good vocal harmonizer plug-in that will run inside Metro 6.1
I've been reading about AKAI Decca Buddy. Anyone if that will work in Metro. The price is sure reasonable. Any other good vocal harmonizer plug-ins out there that will work in Metro and won't cost me my vocal chords to purchase it.

I tried to contact akaipro support to ask them about compaibility. I know their plugs work under OS 9 but I was wondering if they had OS X versions. Needless to say my email was returned with this message:

----- Transcript of session follows -----
procmail: Lock failure on "/home/.sites/143/site2/.users/87/support_us/mbox.lock"
procmail: Quota exceeded while writing "/home/.sites/143/site2/.users/87/support_us/mbox"
550 5.0.0 <akaipro_support_us@akaipro.com>... Can't create output

Apparently nobody is reading the support emails over there. :?

I've heard of Melodyne but it's an app on it's own and the effect it pretty nasty.

What about a pitchshifter or something like autotune by antares?

Problem is - it's not cheap........but worth a look.
