Strumming effect

Postby GSpro » Mon Jul 03, 2006 4:08 pm

Hello forum.

How do I create a strumming guitar on the midi Keys from Metro. The arpeggio feature does what it's suppose to do "ARP". But I can seem to find a way to hold down a chord and have a strumming effect. I was looking in the chord paragraph on the manual and it's not quite sinking in at the moment I've been up since 3 AM. Could someone be so kind and give me some directions.
Thank you

There is no strumming effect in Metro... well except for the Ultra Rhythm Explorer(URE). If you have the full version you can enter the chords via chord entry and then use the URE to create flammed chords (similar to strumming a guitar). Be sure to name the track with the word "guitar" or "guit" first so that URE knows it is a guitar track. The algorithm to use is one of the pattern algorithms (e.g. 8th, 16th or user). They can produce very interesting results especially if you lower the pattern density in URE preferences.

For more info see The Rhythm Explorer documentation.
