Anyone know how to record using ADAT?

Postby rlwilliams » Sun Nov 30, 2003 11:02 am

Hello everyone,

I have a VF-16, 16 track digital workstation, and I want to be able to dump the tracks into Metro using the ADAT connection. I want to be able to add effects in Metro, then burn to a CD. It should be possible to transfer 8 tracks at once.

I did get Metro to receive track 1, a guitar track, and also track 8, which was a vocal track, but I had to transfer them separately. Then when they were in Metro, they weren't lined up. Shouldn't there be a way to do tradks 1-8 all at once, and the tracks all be lined up with each other like the original recording on the VF-16?

Does anyone know how to set Metro up to receive these 8 tracks at once? or do you have to record one track at a time and then manually line them up. This would take me forever.

Thanks in advance,

Ronnie

The key to multi-track recording is outlined here:
