Recording 2 monos....

Postby Scoot » Sun Aug 17, 2003 5:37 pm

If I record a stereo track, I am in effect recording 2 channels. A left and a right.

If I split them into 2 using the split stereo track option, why then can I only record enable one of them at a time?
Is that a built in audio controller limitation?

Did you try shift-clicking the record-enable? Make sure their audio inputs are set to L & R respectively.

Or am I missing something?

aaahhh. Shift clicking works and it doesn't matter if its left or right.

Question now is........why is it different from solo and mute?
Is it because it's more convenient this way?

I would think that most people are record-enabling one track at a time. Be it mono or stereo.

6.0.8.2 has some minor improvements in that the audio-input-select column remembers and defaults to the last selection and the column defaults to visible.
