Trying to grab an aiff and mp3 from a folder where the aiff and mp3 are the only things in the folder. When I go to play them metro says "-50 Error in parameter list / Not an existing volume, and no default volume/ Bad positioning information / bad drive number".

is it metro or my start up disk at fault?

I do not understand. What does "grab an aiff and mp3 from a folder where the aiff and mp3 are the only things in the folder." mean?

A general term for - Add files from folder.

(If I were to download a new driver for something I would be grabbing it off the net :) )

I made sure there were no other files or files types in the folder I chose because if you were to just add files from your total hard disk you end up with a bunch of funny resources included in the list.

It sounds like you have funny characters in one of your paths or folder names. Metro still uses some old Macintosh filename standards in some cases.

If you ctrl-click on the first item and 'get info'what is the complete pathname?

I just posted a picture of it........you replied too fast. :D

Actually I've changed the names to 1.aif and 2.mp3 and it still doesn't work for me. Obviously no one else is suffering from it and I was just seeing what the jukebox was as someone pointed me to it.

It's not a big deal.....no worries Jerm.

You need to select an instrument from the popup. It is blank in the picture (that is now deleted). This must be an audio instrument.

HA!

I shot myself in the foot (AGAIN) when I went for a lean set of instruments (midi synth only) when I was mucking around on my Yamaha.
