From the new features read me:
The old, QuickTime Musical Instruments feature of OMS, is now built-in to Metro 6. If you assign any track to an internal port the program names can be selected using apple's instrument picker. Note that only channels 1-15 are actively using the QuickTime Musical Instruments. Internal channel 16 is reserved for playing metronome sounds from the file MBar.aif and MBeat.aif found in the Metro folder.
