Upgrade to Metro 6.2

I understand that files created in Metro 6.2 will not open in earlier versions.
BUT
Will files created in earlier versions open in 6.2 ?
Seems obvious but thought I should ask anyway.

Metro has always been and always will be (at least) forwardly compatible with respect to its files.
