Why does Metro still link with Deck?

Postby Scoot » Tue Feb 11, 2003 11:23 pm

Aren't they 2 competing programs?
Does deck do anything amazing that Metro can't?

Then again I had deck and it got me to go and and buy Metro so I shouldn't really comment. :D

(boy all these burning questions I've had for so long hehehe).

Deck support is in there because it works in OS 9. Also we are working with Bias to support the connection in OS X.

Aren't they 2 competing programs?
I suppose in a way. However both Deck and Metro have very loyal users. Deck does not support MIDI and Bias has a lot of users that need to use MIDI.

Does deck do anything amazing that Metro can't?

Amazing... hmmm.. I wouldn't consider 5.1 amazing.

I guess you could get a semi 5.1 system by allocating separate tracks to such a system and linking certain speakers with a crossfade. A lot of farting around for an effect hardly anyone can hear. :)
