Odd happening with notation in 6.10

Postby MediaUnion » Sun Oct 05, 2003 3:53 am

Hi Guys,

Just checking out the new version. Thanks Jerm.

I loaded the 6.10 and opened a midi file from 6.0.8.2 with 10 tracks (all different channels and Voices).
When I change the Voices on the bottom of the notation window, I get text (like "a" or "d") replacing the notes and stems. Changing to 8 voices all notes become text. I thought that I might be missing Aloisen or had an older one so I checked the Font library and it's there( Mon Apr 27, 98 ).

I have taken some screenshots if you need them.

Really, really small thing. If you make the notation window small(1-1.5 inch high), you lose some notes, stems and ties an octave below middle c. (I didn't check for printing issues, though. Maybe it won't matter to the printers.) I noticed this only on some drum tracks because the note assignments for drum sounds are spread over 88 notes/keys...
(I can't see anyone using the window smaller than 2 in high anyway)

This is really a great version upgrade. Thanks for making the notation available for OSX. Looking forward to using it this week as a matter of fact.

This can easily be fixed. Here is how.

Download this file:
http://www.sagantech.com/metro/GrayAloisen.sitx

Unstuff it and place the resultant file in your font folder
system folder:fonts

Notation in OS X should now work. Note that this was an OS X only problem.
