Thawing tracks leaves orphaned output column in mixer

Metro 7.2.4, Intel Mac

If I unfreeze a track, the corresponding audio output column in the mixer remains, even though there is no longer any audio data for that track. Is this by design? No biggie, as it can just be deleted manually.
