Revo Arp Accompaniment mode: Octave setting not working.

Postby Lytz1 » Mon Oct 22, 2018 7:45 pm

Hey there,

regarding the new accompaniment feature in the revo ARP:

The octave setting doesn't have any effect when accompaniment mode is checked.
Notes are played back (and shown on the virtual keyboard) very low.

I believe they are always playing in the C1 octave. (No matter where I play notes on my keyboard.
Even when I play very high notes/chords in the upper octaves I still only get low notes.)

Best,
tL.

I don't think this is a bug. Chords are detected by the accompaniment engine. The chords are always placed at the base note octave. The arpeggiators are defined relative to the base note. So if you have a guitar for example you want the the arpeggiator assigned to that track to have notes up one octave. You can do this in the 'T' column. Also you can use the arp option menu (hold option key) to transpose the entire arp pattern up an octave.

Also while the rhythm section is playing (multiple record enabled tracks assigned to multiple arps) you can play notes freely by specifying an arp to play 'out of range' notes only.

Ah okay, I think this makes sense.

Thanks,
