Controller remapping - jogging

Postby GarySome1 » Sun Nov 30, 2003 2:56 am

Admittedly, these are nitpicks.

First item:
Jogging appears to increment an integral number of beats for a given section. This always works well except for the case where you have nested subsections. For example, if a section has 2 subsections:
- 1st Subsection: 4 bars of 4/4.
- 2nd Subsection: 4 bars of 7/4.

Using the jog wheel takes me through these locations:
1:01:000
2:01:000
3:01:000
4:01:000
5:01:000
5:05:000 <-- Suggest 6:01:000
6:02:000 <-- Suggest 7:01:000
6:06:000 <-- Suggest 8:01:000
...

Second Item:
When using controller remapping on a US-428 jog wheel it works fine in the "positive"direction (actually negative from the US-428 but using controller mapping allows this to position forward a bar. However, when I turn the jog wheel counter-clockwise it decrements 2 bars.

Thanks,
Gary

Gary,

I am sorry but I do not understand the second item.

Maybe I should write these when I am more awake. The second item just means that positive (clockwise) jogging advances one bar per click on the jog wheel while negative (counter clockwise) jogging decreases by 2 bars per click on the jog wheel.

So each click in the positive direction seems to +1 while in the negative seems to -2.

Which R.C. event are you using? Have you tried using a map controller event to change the scale?
