Removing Aux Effects

Postby Jerm » Mon May 19, 2003 7:18 pm

Remove effects from the effects window. Click on the name of the effect in the effect window and use edit/clear or the backspace key.

jonrandall wrote:Why is it required to click directly on the name, and do you have any idea how the names could get "virtually" selected in some instances?

You can have multiple effects in this window. Click on the name to select it or drag it to rearrange the order of effects. Obviously you need a way to just clear certain effects.

This bug will be fixed in 6.0.7.2. Thanks.

When you drag an effect across to the effect window, its name is selected. If you drag another one across, the first plugin name is still selected. I guess perhaps the second plugin name should now be selected......it might make more sense.......or metro is assuming you want to remove the first plugin? :D

If you click somewhere else, you deselect the name. Then there is no way can you go back and have a name selected unless you click on it and get teh clear back.

Having clear available with no plugins is probably a bug.
Yes I made it unexpectly quit too!
Then again........I am normally controlling plug ins from the window not the blimmin menus.

I should point out, jonrandall, that clicking on the effect name to select it, is not secret at all.

This page, the main effects page, accessed by pressing command-shift-/ or command-? (same keys) from the effects window itself, explains exactly how to select effects:

This page explains exactly how to remove an effect:
