Change Log for 7.6
  • Support for the new CLAP plug-in standard including MIDI dialects; raw MIDI and Clap MIDI, sample accurate automation, the 2nd draft of preset discovery, multiple plug-ins inside a .CLAP file and more. The MIDI dialect can be selected by right-clicking the plug-in name in the Instantiated Effects/Synths window.
  • Support for VST2 shell plug-ins. A new item in the plug-ins menu allows the user to expose the shell's contents. This will add all of the contents of the shell plug-in as individual items in the plug-in window. These items are listed as having a type of 'Shell Pearl'. Right-click on the plug-ins name in the plug-ins window to access the plug-ins menu.
  • Support for VST3 via the use of the free shell plug-ins "vsti3shell" and "vstshell". These plug-ins can be found here https://www.xlutop.com/buzz/zip/. The latest versions are strongly recommended.
  • Direct support for little endian files including .WAV and little endian .AIF. Any individual track must be either big or little endian. Trying to paste to a track that differs by endianness will not work.
  • Full support for the Ogg Vorbis file type.
  • Support for Windows Media Foundation. This allows the reading of many more audio file types (especially for the x64 version).
  • Audio file conversions from the jukebox menu have been made substantially more robust and allow many more types.
  • A new setting in preferences allows the use of Media Foundation to playback and parse MP3 files in the jukebox tab.
  • The plug-ins database handling has been rewritten to be much more robust. In some cases the discovery date or number of instantiation could have been overwritten.
  • On keyboards that do not have a numeric key pad the ctrl + '.' key combination allows the entry of the bar to jump to in the transport.
  • Data from the Rhythm Explorer (RE) is saved with the document making it possible to reseed the RNG and regenerate data from other sessions as long as other data has not changed.
  • New "Multichannel" option in the graphic editor and tracks window output popup, allows the user to setup or maintain a track with multichannel MIDI data and pitchbend vibrato more easily.
  • Many new sub algorithms have been added to the RE's 'Scale Spiral' algorithm and the user can select which sub algorithms to use in the RE preferences dialog.
  • The Metro Music Code editor, from the RE preferences dialog, now supports up to 16 steps per entry.
  • Smooth zooming in the graphic editor can be achieved by shift-clicking the zoom in or zoom out icons.
  • RE tracks that are setup to auto generate on playback can now all by bypassed in one step with the RE's 'Auto' button.
  • Greatly improved plug-in scan time.
  • The Metronome was relying on a .dll that might not exist on the user system.
  • There was a bug in MIDI filtering from the instantiated effects window if the first plug-in in the chain had no MIDI filtering.
  • Sample rate convert warnings displayed in the graphic editor were not always being set and cleared appropriately.
  • Unchecking solo in the mixer window would sometimes cause the volume to be set to 0.
  • A crash could have occurred if the count off was set and the audio buffer sizes were small.
  • Normalize audio would occasionally show the wrong input peaks percentages.
  • Mix until silence has been improved and use the values of the define silence dialog.
  • Files can be opened by dropping them into the main window.
  • Improvements when trying to save files to a directory that does not have adequate permissions.
  • Continuous data and Pitchbend dialogs can be accessed even if the currently selected track has no data.
  • ID3 tags with only Unicode data are now read properly.
  • Jukebox files that cannot be played are no longer automatically disabled.
  • Show in explorer was not working if the destination window was minimized.
  • Links dialog allows filename to be renamed.
  • In the Event editor window, changing tracks would sometimes change the selection.
  • Improved ASIO support. Realtek ASIO driver requires sample rate to be set before entering control panel.
  • In some cases the master buss would not accept a plug-in to be replaced.
  • Support for copying continuous automation data from an audio or plug-in track and pasting as MIDI.
  • Pasting MIDI when zoomed all the way in to the sample level of an audio track could have resulted in a divide by zero error.
  • Jukebox was not playing the end of an MP3 file correctly in some cases.
  • Improved remote control.
  • VU's now show during mixdown in slowest mode.
  • Normalize mixer faders was broken.
  • Ctrl + page down and Ctrl + page up keys scroll down and up the selected graphic editor slot.
  • Better directory parsing.
  • The general preferences tab is remembered within a session.
  • Untitled audio files have their names appended with a numeric date/time stamp.
  • Improved Ultra Rhythm Explorer.
  • Selecting a section from the sections window will visualize the selection in other edit windows.
