Solution to 'undefined' scales in LeadGen Info

Postby Lytz1 » Mon Oct 29, 2018 6:02 pm

I sometimes get a lot of 'undefined' entries in the
Details window of the generated LeadGen data.
(see quote-box below)

Is there any solution to prevent this?

(The created chord-markers and the chords are most of the time okay.
Sometimes I need to retweak a bit, but that's basically it.)

So:
1) Are there some settings that might help here?
2) Do I have to tell Metro the scales manually?
3) Might it be better to edit the scales into Metro itself so that it 'knows' these?
4) Does the Hex number have any significance? (0xA35 and 0xA55 pops up quite often)
5) Anything else that I might have missed?

Thanks,
tL.

Whoa. I disabled Predominant scales and the result is completely different.
Also the 'undefined' entries disappeared completely.
Ok, need to test a bit more I think.

0xA35 in binary is 101000110101, which translates (reading from right to left) to the 1, the 2, the 3, the 4, the 6 and the 7. So it is a major scale without the 5.
0xA55 in binary is 101001010101, which translates to the 1, the 2, the 3, the b5, the 6 and the 7.

If I recall correctly these are selected based on most common pitches.
