'Misuse' of LeadGen for Piano Parts?

Postby Lytz1 » Fri Oct 26, 2018 12:44 pm

So I am thinking about how I can 'misuse" the LeadGen for Piano Parts Artist Presets.
(Or other things like that that are not necessarily based solely on Guitar/Bass)

Is this at all reasonable? And what would be the best approach/settings to do that?

Any hints? (I think I will test this anyways, but maybe there are some caveats here.)

Thanks,
tL.

I am not sure I understand your question. You can use LG for piano. Turn off all pitch bends(preferences tab 2), sets the pitch range (preferences tab 1). Make other appropriate settings.

Let me simplify:

How to set the settings of the lead generator to get
as close to the original saved phrases in an artist presets as possible?

(Pitch doesn't matter, but the rhythmic structure of the presets should be
left mostly untouched.)

On second thought, nevermind. I think I can figure this out quite soon on my own.

I would set the generator to presets = 100, all others = 0. In LG prefs, tab 2, with Generation Type: 'Preset' selected, Set amalgamated to 0 (if you want the complete original preset), set 'Rhythm' to 100%, set 'polyrhythms' to 0. Set 'Diddlyizer' to 0. Make sure all presets have 'Disallow Rhythm Mods' checked. Make sure that all of the note durations that are contained in the presets are checked and have a high enough weight. Make sure that all of the scales used in the presets are selected and have a high enough weight.

Perfect, that helps.

I'd like to go as original as possible and then introduce more and more of the other
functions 1 by 1 to get a better grip on everything.

(Also this might allow for repetitive backing patterns)

Thanks again,
tL.
