Marker Window Bug?

Postby Lytz1 » Thu Oct 11, 2018 1:01 pm

Hey there,

Situation:
Several different Chord markers in a song.

Problem:
When I want to change the Leadscale for All markers of the same chord-type (i.e. Cmin)
with the operation: "Apply changes To: Markers with the same Chord"
it doesn't work. (To:All markers does work, To: Only this marker also works.)

Can you check this?

Thanks,
tL.

By the way: The option "Apply changes to: Selected Markers" isn't very useful right now?
Because in the Marker window I can't select markers
in a non-continuous fashion which to me would be important
for that feature to make sense. (<--- Might be a good idea to enable this though!)

Yes.

Command click does not work to select non-contiguous markers? Ctrl-click definitely works on PC. Will check Mac later.

Oh yes, it indeed does. Sorry 'bout that. I thought I checked all modifier-combinations.

But what does definitely not work is the following:

When you have a couple of markers with assigned Leadscale
and you copy/paste a time selection ((Selection a time range in the Bar-Ruler then copy/paste)

The markers get copied, but the assigned Leadscale does not. It unchecks and resets.
(copied markers have lead scale unchecked and the Rootkey resets to C)

Best,
tL.

(Double checked: This holds true for cmd-d and also for cmd-c/cmd-v operations)

I just tried it on both the PC and the Mac and it worked fine on both. Can you email me the source file you are using to try this?

Thank you for reporting this. It is definitely a bug and is now fixed as of V7.3.2.1.

Okay thanks for reporting this and sending me the data file. From analysis of the data file I have determined that this is a bug and is related to the chord in the markers being stored differently based on minor/major scale status. You may be able to workaround it by changing the key signature or retyping the markers, I am not sure. In any event this bug is fixed in V7.3.2.1.

Awesome. Glad there's an upcoming fix for that.
