And the app to link files is unfortunately from 1998. I will need to search for a different one.. :)

No. I mean like perhaps it is writing and you don't realize it. The file size of the .mah file is the same after clicking ok? I will look into the error checking and be sure all errors are reported.

You should be able to 'get info' on the .MAH file and verify its permissions from the Finder and if it is not writable, make it writable.

Have you tried after a new ".MAF"?

Yes, file size is the same and also the modification date doesn't update.

However, I am now pretty sure now there might be a problem on System side.
Found a File Manager (Filebuddy) to relink the files and basically the same thing happens.
(I click save/apply and it also doesn't write.)

My hunch is that there is some problem with the application folder permissions
and I can't change anything there (yet)
Get an "insufficient privileges" message when trying to do so. But its the 'admin' account.

I already have enabled read/write permissions for root & user & everyone for the whole Metro Folder and all files.
I am still reading myself online into some things. We'll see.

Best,
tL.

Alright, I think I see where some problems are coming from...

The Metro Folder and all files are "root". Can't change this.
OSX won't allow it, I even enabled "root" superadmin and tried from there.
So there is a bigger problem here. Probably some OSX vs. SSD nonsense...

But:

I made a second Application folder on a different drive and moved the Metro Folder there.
This now let the RE presets show up sorted alphabetically.

I also can now relink the new RE Presets via FileBuddy to "type:mREd" and "Creator:MTRx"
They show up now as well in the URE Preset window.

Artits presets still don't write... However, I did not link them to Metro yet because
I do not know the "Type". Creator should be MTRx as well I guess?

I'd like to try this, can you provide the "type:" for me? I will relink the .MAF then
and hope that this will fix it.

Thanks,
tL.

Should definitely be fixed now. Re-download and ignore that the version number is the same.
