% chance for Volume (CC7) to perform a "fade in" on long notes. (Swells)

It is often very nice acoustically when some longer notes "fade in".
A good example on Guitars that comes to mind is Dire Straits' Mark Knopfler
playing in 'Brothers in Arms'.

This technique might be even more outstanding on brass instruments,
wind instruments and string instruments.

Might be easy to accomplish, all that's needed are two steps:

1) CC7 dips on some long notes from default
value Y down to X on note start. (X=25% of default Y value)

2) then fades (ramp up) back to Y. (Time for fade equals 50%-75% duration of the note.)


I think this might sound very cool in combination with the other parameters

Yes I like that idea. Volume is already supported so that all is needed is a 'swell algorithm' in addition to (vibrator, filter, etc.). Can you send me some MIDI examples of good sounding swells?
