Possible to quantize controller/automation data?

Postby Lytz1 » Thu Aug 03, 2017 6:55 pm

Hey J',

is it possible to quantize Controller/CC Data as well?

Would help after recording/Jamming around with Midi Controller/Automation to get everything tight.

(If not, then this would be really useful as we do not have the ability to move "automation points" around
in Metro like it is usual these days.)

Best,
tL.

There is no quantize but you can move automation by selecting it and then nudging with the arrow keys.

For those in the future that might be interested in this topic:

Well, it is kinda possible:

Use the "Thin continuous" Command and use the option "Times closer than" with an appropriate clock size.
After that Automation/CC "quantizes" already pretty close to the beat already.
Finetuning (if necessary) can be done quite easily via the event list.

Best,
tL.
