Video is supported only through Quicktime. Quicktime is available on Windows only in the 32 bit version. This is because that is only version Apple has made available.
hi jeremy thank you for the fast reply i am not shure what it means. i have downloaded quicktime for windows installed it. when i try the import movie option nothing happens. If i drag the movie onto the timeline i get an error -4 unimplemented core routine i tried a *.mov *.avi *.mp4
When you install Metro you need to select the 32 bit installer. Then you need to be sure to run the 32 bit installed version and NOT the 64 bit version. If you installed the 32 bit version it will most likely be stored in C:\Program Files (x86)\Metro where 'C:' is your installation drive.
Hi Jerm, as I saw this post, I want to get the occasion to ask my question, because I’m in the same case. I’ve also downloaded the quicktime 32 bits version in my Windows 7 but when I try to import the movie, nothing happens for me either. So, any ideas or are we really missing something? Thanks in advance.
