Can't figure

I've imported a mp4 video and I want to make some editing. Basically fade in/fade out and cut.

I don't see the video in the movie window, it's me via the isight camera or a blank window and there is no handling of the screen possible.

The video is correctly screened in the graphic window.

The Export as movie function isn't available.

Need help.

I use Mac OS 10.9.5

It's hard to say without more information but I suspect your Movie track is record-enabled. When a movie track is record-enabled, the movie that is shown in the movie window is a preview of live-action. If not record-enabled you should be able to watch the movie in the movie window.

It was so simple.

I had to rearrange the monitors position to fix the problem of the movie window.
