Issue With Spanning Displays

Postby fastlanephil » Wed Dec 10, 2014 12:00 pm

Hi Jeremy,

I think I've figured out that spanning Metro 7 to my Dell U3014 from my iMac 2.7 i5 24GB Memory OSX 10.9.5 is causing Metro to hang up. That's probably why there wasn't a issue when I was using the Dell display connected to my Mac Min and using VE Pro 5 over Ethernet. I also removed the jBridged SampleTank 3 VST besides VE Pro 5 but it didn't help.

I load Metro 7 on my iMac and move the Graphic Editor window around the iMac screen with no problem but as soon as I start to pull it over to the Dell display Metro hangs up. The Graphic Editor window turns white(empty) and freezes somewhere in the middle of the two displays.

I'll try this using my HP 22" monitor connecting with a Mini Display to DVI adaptor instead of the Mini Display to Dual Link DVI adaptor that connects to the Dell 30" and see if that Apple adaptor could be the issue.

I'll also try upgrading to OSX 10.10.1 and see what happens.
