Screensets / Workspaces

Hello Jeremy,

another idea that crossed my mind when working with Metro
would be the ability to save (and recall) screensets.

Basically like a Screen-Snapshot of what is shown and where (for later recall).

This would be especially useful with the graphic editor, so we could save the actual state of the graphic-
editor, including multiple track lanes and ESPECIALLY which automation parameters are shown per lane etc.
Has endless possibilities.

Could be even extended to stuff like: Save the current quantize/lenght and velocity into it as well,
which tool is selected, save the hide/view state of tracks, of mixerchannels,
which plugin-windows are shown, etc.etc.

What do you think?

It is a good idea and I have had similar suggestions before.

The problem is that it is complicated to implement and would only be used by the most advanced users.

We'll see if we get others to chime in.

Alright.

Maybe it would be easier if that feature would be specific only to the graphic editor? (Just an ability to recall on which lanes is shown what?)
