You don't see it because it is not there...

Hi Jeremy,

Do you have an idea when it will be there?

I have to see if I can get (have) the Rewire SDK for the PC. I will look into next week some time.

I have the SDK so I should be able to implement this for the next point release. I will let you know how it goes.

The Rewire functionality is released in the windows version 6.5.2 of Metro and Metro SE.

Not only that but the new version of the Reason Demo allows the user to run indefinitely and only loading of documents is disabled. This means you could create many tracks in the Reason demo, render them to audio in Metro and save all of your work. The only drawback is you would not be able to re-render the audio without a lengthy setup of all the devices in the Reason demo.

Thanks for making this happen!

I generally use my MACs but on occasion I need to run work on a pc. This makes it all work.

I just installed the update on my PC and I get a library error when I activate Rewire. Do I need to use ASIO?

No. The library error usually means you are not running both Reason and Metro at the same bit depth. Try installing the 32 bit version of Metro and try again. Or alternatively install the 64 bit of Reason.

In any case be sure they are both the same bit depth.

I'm using a 32 bit PC so the install is automatically 32 bit right? ...XP SP3

I did reinstall metro. I also installed the latest version of rewire. I still get the library error.

It may also mean that the rewire library you are using is old. Can you download the newer Reason Demo and try that?

Metro has been updated to use the latest rewire library.

I think the SDK I built with requires 1.8.

If you can't install 1.8, I can look at supporting older versions for the 32 bit version of Metro.

Let me know.

Yeah, I don't believe I can run the Reason 6.0 demo on my PC. I know it won't run on my MAC. It be wonderful if you could make it work using rewire 1.7. Meanwhile I'll look at how to get 1.8.

Thanks so much!

I like to stop by some time if that is okay. I'd like to meet the man behind the code. I'm up the pike near Sturbridge and have used Metro forever

Rick

Hello Rick,

I have contacted Propellerheads on this situation so I will wait for their suggestion before I do anything.

Please do stop by. Send me a private email and perhaps we could grab a coffee or something.
