Keyboard Controller Faders & Metro

Hello Jeremy,

I've been looking at keyboard controllers and the M-Audio Axiom does look like the one to buy. I have still have my first controller which is a MidiMan(M-Audio) Radium 61 and they are still updating the USB drivers for it so I know they are good about driver support. The Rolands are nice but the mod wheel is spring loaded which is a fatal flaw for me.

'm looking at the Axiom 49 and Axion 49 Pro. Are the additional control features worth the exra $200.

I'd be interested in your opinion.

I doubt it is worth it.

I have the original Axiom 25 and it is absolutely the best USB controller I have used. All the controls make sense although it can be confusing at times since it has a lot of functionality. The transports are easily configurable with the included software and the touch (and aftertouch) has a really nice feel. The aftertouch response even trounces the korg triton keyboards I have.

Only having 25 keys makes it very portable but also teaches you to play differently by using inversions or making the octave buttons your good friend.

Also I have never had a problem using it on any computer, Mac or PC. It just works.
