Recording MIDI from External Sound Modules

Postby greddin » Mon Sep 27, 2010 11:29 am

I'm thinking about purchasing Metro but I'd like to know how good it is when controlling external sound modules? Not software synths.

Is it possible to scroll and select sound patches once setup in Metro?

Here's my current setup:

Thanks,

Absolutely. Metro was initially designed for full support of external MIDI devices and it excels in that area.

Hi there Greg and welcome to the forum.

Nice hardware/midi gear.

Mac Metro is Apple MIDI/AUDIO core savvy and i have no trouble controlling external midi gear ( keyboards, sound modules ) and also soft synths.

Thanks guys. Jeremy has been very helpful to me with my pre-purchase questions. As the result I purchased Metro 6 last night! I know there's a learning curve but I'm excited about the possibilities. I'm sure I'll be posting more as I get into it more.

Thanks again,
-Greg

Hi Greg,
You'll be amazed at how stable Metro is. Start to look around to get a fee for where everyrthing is and what those things do. If you run into a problem, just post on the forum and one of us will be more than happy to help.
Again, welcome and enjoy Metro
