Selecting items in Event Editor

I always find it tricky to select events in the event editor list, since my attempts to select an event often wind up selecting the Bar Number field instead. It would be nice if the selection area for the Bar number field were restricted more nearly to the number itself, leaving it easier to select the event without changing the bar number of the event inadvertently. Alternately a visual clue such as a vertical line separating the selection column and bar number column, or shading in the event selection area would improve my aim!

In 6.4.9.2 (not released yet) there is more space between the check selection area and the bar number.
